It’s a fact there is an ever increasing reliance on computerised systems by pretty much every organisation. This is great when things are going well. Mostly these systems will work to improve productivity and help to keep a business efficient. However, when something goes wrong and data is lost there can be huge implications.

This will probably involve things like a regular back up of their essential data; it might even include a strategy to return temporarily to the manual processing of data. Without these two most basic things an organisation be left exposed to losing data and ultimately lost revenues.

Avoid Tweaking Equipment

Many companies try to get their systems to perform for longer than is recommended. Ignoring manufactures guidelines can lead this practice to put additional strain on equipment. There are even some organisations that will ‘tweak’ their equipment to try to get it to run faster or for longer. Once again this is bad news as very often it will lead to serious issues. Normally one of the other knock on effects to this is that any warranty will be invalidated, so as a result things can get pretty costly.
